New Team Uniform

This will be the new team uniform for 2010.

Things to keep in mind.
1) It is very difficult to judge colours on computer monitors. 99% of monitors do NOT display colours accurately so what you see on your monitor may not be representative of what it really looks like. Most LCD monitors in particular are way too hot and will make the jersey look lighter.
2) The goal is to match the blue of the current uniform blue. The astute amongst you may ask which one? Yes, the blue of the current jersey is a little different from that of the vests which is different from that of the 2008 shorts which is different from the 2006 shorts which is different from the previous shorts, etc. And all of those were made by the same company so you can imagine that an exact match with a different company will be problematic.
3) There may be some very minor revisions yet.

We looked at a number of different designs and colour combinations. One of the goals was to have continuity with the previous colours; the most prominent of those being orange and blue. Retaining yellow made everything too busy. The design is a lot cleaner from a distance, yet up close there is more suble detail. Click to see a larger image. The new uniform will be made by Champion Systems. Check out their web site. They offer an incredible variety of merchandise and a lot of flexibility so when we make our team order if one person wants just one of a special garment that no one else wants, it can probably still be done. With most other companies we would have to order at least 12 or 24 of everything. They also offer men's and women's cuts, as well as race (European) and club (more generous) cuts. Sizing can be very tricky so we will have sizing samples in the next month or two and will give everyone a chance to try them. Keep your eyes and ears open as there will be a limited time period to do this (couple of weeks).

**Keep in mind that modern technical fabrics are designed to work when they are in direct contact with the skin. Loose garments prevent the fabric from doing what it was designed to do.
