This year Howard Ryant and five other FOG members spent a week in the Canadian Rockies. For 2014 he is arranging a ride in Colorado.
"Contact Howard at hryant@shaw.ca if you are interested in joining a group road bike trip to the Colorado Rockies. The trip will
be from July 1-11 and will involve 7 days of mountain riding (a big climb each day). Transportation to and from Denver will be by cars/vans, and we will operate a support vehicle throughout the riding. Approximate cost is $1000 plus dinners. The trip will be more fully planned in January. Contact Howard if you would like to be invited to planning meeting."
Malcolm Doupe is chairing the Cycle of Hope and has planned a two week ride from Omaha, Nebraska to Rapid City, South Dakota to Winnipeg. Apparently the route is nice and rolling terrain and there will be greater accommodation of those who want to ride more quickly. The ride will take place from the last weekend in June through early July. More details to be posted.
