You Win Some, You Lose Some - March 28 Wrap

Saturday's ride was a wonderful contrast to the long weekend ride before. On Victoria Day, all forecasts called for dry weather and a gentle wind from the north. It rained for two hours with a stiff headwind from the south instead of the forecasted gentle push home. Saturday looked to be a big mistake. The roads were soaking wet in the west of the city and a little voice kept saying you should have cancelled as I got closer and closer to the legion without any improvement. Then suddenly a kilometre from the legion the roads were dry. There were a few puddles to dodge and a 20 kph headwind on the way north, but what looked like it might be dismal turned out to be a glorious day for the 31 that took part. Saturday we won.
