David Carr is Getting Married

Many long term members will remember Dave Carr. He is getting married! See message from him below.

The purpose of this email is to somehow reach as many people from FOG as possible to let them know I’m getting married.

We have chosen to have a wedding social, but not for the usual ‘getting started in life’ reasons. All net proceeds from the social are being donated to the Firefighters Burn Fund to support their summer kids ‘Burn Survivor Camp’ program.

A typical Manitoba ‘Social’ is a great way to reconnect with a lot of very special people who have impacted your life throughout the years. Although I no longer participate with FOG, or even ride that much in the past couple of years, I can truly say that my years spent riding with FOG hold a special place in my heart.

So the wedding social is at the Regent Park Banquet Hall, 701 Regent Ave W #116, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1E1. If you’re heading East on Regent, its just one block East of Plessis, in a small strip mall on the North (left) side, between the Dollarama and Dal’s Restaurant, located downstairs.

Its coming up quickly now on Friday night August 19th, and we have chosen to actually get married at the social. Doors open at 8:00pm, with a short ceremony at 8:30pm and dancing to begin around 9:30.

Through the very generous support of so many friends and organizations, we have a fantastic silent auction/raffle to reveal, and again all net proceeds from the social are being donated to the Firefighters Burn Fund to support their summer ‘Kids Burn Survivor Camp’ program.

If you would be so kind as to spread the word at FOG, at the next few rides, or forward this email to your FOG contact list, as well as through social media, we would truly appreciate it. Tickets are just $10 and arrangements for pick-up or delivery can easily be made.

It would truly make my day to see as many of the old FOG gang as possible!
