The 9 am forecast couldn't have been more wrong; instead of dry, Henderson leading up to the Legion was soaking wet, but 11 of us were determined to prove we weren't made of sugar. As it turns out, the roads north of the city were almost completely dry and despite a challenging wind it was a beautiful mixed group ride to BHP... until the forecast was correct and it turned cold and wet for the last 13 km. But we weren't made of sugar. Some soup and laughter and it's a ride that'll stick in the memory.
