The rides are certainly getting brisker as everyone's fitness has picked up. We've generally had enough riders, 30-40, to split into two groups at Lockport. The 'fast' group has generally been as big as or bigger than the second group. The fast group leaves first from Lockport and continues for the rest of the ride without waiting for the slower group. The speed has really been picking up so a few riders have been riding with the fast group north to Selkirk and back south to Lockport at highway 44 then dropping back to rejoin the slower group for the rest of the ride. Feedback has been very positive to this. The rides are more efficient and because riders always have the option of dropping back if the fast group gets too challenging we now have 'supa fast', fast, moderate, and 'endurance' options. One should remember though that even FOG's slowest ride is much faster than most other local rides.
Wow, it's August already. Long weekend schedule here.
