Start your day early by getting up to watch live coverage of Il Giro at 2:00 a.m. Rogers Sportsnet ONE (channel 187 on MTS TV, 225 on Shaw) has daily coverage; sometimes live, sometimes on delay. Check the schedule here. The schedule isn't always bang on due to NBA play-offs, but they have been showing every stage.
Sure some of the times are late and you can watch it on the internet, but that's not the point. TV coverage exposes cycling to the great unwashed masses. Cycling is under increasing pressure. Looks like the best day for a Saturday ride yet. Remember you need an MCA membership, club membership and waiver. Otherwise you will be turned away from the ride. Rides start at 0900.
