Being An Everyday Working Schmuck And An Athlete

Those of us who were athletic when we were younger lament the loss of the days when we were teenagers and could train without any worries about work, marriage, children, responsibilities, shelter, food, etc. Similarly if you've ever been away to a one week training camp you've realized the huge gains that come from a week with no worries about anything else but riding; just ride, eat, and sleep and likely thought wow I could make great gains if I could live like a pro.

Chris Carmichael takes an interesting alternative view to that in this weekend's commentary here. Obviously most of his athlete clients are working schmucks just like us so it's in his interest to inspire them, but interesting nonetheless.
