It's October so rides start at 10:00 a.m. From the legion as usual. We won't always be able to count on weather like last Saturday, but rides will continue until there's snow on the roads.
It also means that the most fun event of the year takes place with our cyclocross race at Whittier Park on Sunday October 21. Come out for the free barbecue, catch the action, and watch the riders struggle through the mud pit. Better yet, volunteer.
Resident chef Rene will not be able to attend so we are looking for one or two BBQ pit masters to serve up the European sausages.
We also need a couple of people to help with sign in, a couple of marshals, and a first aid person. Let me know if you can help: gsewell at mymts dot net.
