Eighteen riders in a combined group last week for the Saturday ride even though Muddy Waters was on Sunday. Pace was a little gentler than usual for such a large combined group, but for some riders Sunday was the big ride for the weekend.

We've had several weeks of coolish (for August) weather. Not so good for the beach, but it's been perfect for riding. It's going to be a scorcher tomorrow. The temperature will likely be higher before we start than it's been at the warmest part of the ride any time in the last month and there looks to be a strong wind from the south to add to the effort on the way home. Bring lots of fluids and remember the FOG ride is a fast ride. If you're not a strong rider in your group, draft and conserve energy from the start so you've got energy at the end. See you tomorrow!
