What looked like a gloomy, cold, and wet day at 7 and even 8 am turned out to be lovely. Environment Canada's forecast was a little ahead of itself: it didn't start to get sunny till minutes before the ride, but once it did it warmed up quite quickly. Turned out to be a jersey and arm warmers kind of day, vest not even needed.

Start conditions: 10C NW14 partly cloudy roads:rare damp spots
End conditions: 17C NW21 gusting to 34 sunny roads:dry
