With the news reports constantly making it sound like it's pretty much the elderly with comorbidities at risk from COVID-19 (now renamed SARS-CoV-2) it would be pretty easy for one to feel a little smug being fitter than 99% of the people around them. And then Dr. Li Wenliang who first tried to raise the warning dies of it at age 34. And other young people. And one has to say hang on a minute.
A study just published in The Lancet has some sobering news. In 191 patients admitted to the two designated hospitals in Wuhan the AVERAGE age at admission was only 56 years old. And only half of them had comorbidities. So much for thinking you only have to worry if you're seventy and have health issues. This is serious stuff folks.
