Saturday Report

22 riders, one large group, with 12 taking on the full loop. A tough wind from the north east (33 gusting to 45) for the whole ride, but a gorgeous sunny day. A bit tricky to pick the best kit for the day. It was only 3C at 0700, but it warmed up quickly. Long sleeve jersey, vest, tights, full finger gloves and beanie was about ideal.

There's a lot of debris on the road this time of year, glass in several places and one 3" x 12" heavy curved piece of metal that was tossed up when ridden over by the rider in front of me. It was heavy enough to break a spoke when it hit my front tire in mid air.
