Lessons Learned

Road rides are constantly changing dynamic events and there are always experiences we can learn from. From last weeks ride captains: A good job keeping the speed to 30 heading to Lockport. A reminder though that for those on the front, as with any start there should be a gradual pick-up in speed from the legion and around the on ramp. Charging right up to 30 kph is not good form. Similarly, if you're someone who struggles with the start ensuring you're one of the first to start would be a good idea. One should be prepared to go when the ride starts at 0900. For some, being physically prepared might mean arriving a little early and spending 10 minutes warming up.
