Well that was frickin' cold for September. Environment Canada says it was 0.0 degrees in the city (so you know it was below freezing beyond the perimeter) and -5 windchill last Saturday. Actually, the sun was out and it felt warmer than the week before. Eight of us thumbed our noses at mother nature with most doing the Birds Hill Park loop. This week might be dicier. Although the high is for 7C on Saturday, it's supposed to snow more Friday and possibly over Friday night. If the roads are icy we won't go out. Check back Saturday morning for an update.
OCTOBER 6 UPDATE: It's cold, but roads appear to be mostly dry. Ride with caution. There may be the occasional patch of ice. A hard core group will be out.
