Uniform Update - Fit Kit 2

We were very fortunate to be able to arrange fit samples. Unfortunately they will only be available this Saturday and then have to be returned to ChampionSystem. Fitting will take place in the Legion from 1300-1430. There is only one of each size, so please clean up first after the ride. The Legion has been kind enough to let us use their space. There's no such thing as a free lunch - please support the Legion and buy something to eat or at least a drink!

I encourage you to look at the Champion System Canada website ahead of time so you have an idea of what you're interested in before the fitting.

We've received a full line of sizes (XS to 2XL) of both men's and women's in the Performance+ jerseys and bibs. YOU MUST WEAR UNDERWEAR TO TRY THE BIBS. There are some miscellaneous other pieces in a single size each which will function better as a gauge of construction rather than size. i.e medium Apex Pro and Apex Aero jerseys which are a full size slimmer so unless you take a small jersey don't even try (we have to pay for any damage).

Generally size wise Champ-Sys fits like euro brands: Rapha, Santini, Assos, non-aero Castelli (the aero stuff is super small). Though Craft and Le Col tend to fit like more North American brands. So if you take a small in North American sizes you'll generally need a medium in Rapha or Champion System.

I overlaid my previous medium jersey (Tech level) over the Performance+ version and the cut is identical with the exception of the sleeves which are 3 inches longer on each side - as would be expected with the more modern designs. The other point is that the Performance+ material is both stretchier and a bit more compressive than the Tech material. So although the cut of the body is the same that means two things; 1/ you want to try on to ensure the arms aren't too long and cut into your elbows, 2/ if you felt between two sizes previously you may find you can go with the smaller size this time.

The fitting will be this Saturday only. Ordering will be a separate process that you will do online. More on that in the next few days.

As you'll 1/ need to clean up before trying on anything and 2/ wear underwear to try the bibs you should plan to drive in to the ride or ride in with a backpack.
