All Comers ITT - Road Cup #2

Individual Time Trial - Sunday May 2nd
-Open to all riders regardless of whether they have a license or not, this includes the general public.
-Road Cup Race #2

FOG has purchased special event insurance so that any rider can take part (FOG membership or MCA membership or race license or citizen license NOT required). The insurance is rather pricey so we’d like to see as many people come out as possible. This is one of only two races open to non-licensed riders all summer. Bring your friends to try it. We’d love to see them.

A time trial is ideal for FOG members as riders start separately at one minute intervals and ride on their own against the clock. Special equipment can shave a few seconds, but is absolutely not needed. Helmets as always are mandatory. It is known as The Race of Truth because there is no drafting, no sprinting, no team tactics; just you and your best effort against the clock.

- Sunday May 2nd in Birds Hill Park on South Drive - see map below. Enter BHP West entrance, go right and follow South Drive for several km or enter from East entrance, turn left on South Drive and travel a couple km (at the top of the 'big' hill). Please park well off the side of the road.
- Registration starts at 9:00, ends at 10:30. Please come early to prevent line ups.
- To save time please print and fill in the waiver on the MCA site ahead of time (MCA info will go up soon)
- 11:00 a.m. race start. Non-licensed riders first, then citizen licence, cat 5, cat 4, cat 1-3.
- 1 or 2 laps for non-licensed, 1 or 2 laps for citizen, 2 laps for cat 1 to 5
- 1 lap is 11.3 km ridden clock wise
- Washrooms are present down the hill a few hundred meters to the east.
- In keeping with FOG tradition we are keeping the entry fee as low as possible and all profits will be returned to the racers in prizes.
- Draw prizes at end of race (last year we gave away $300 in cash). You must be present to claim prize.
- $13 entry each for everyone - cash only. $2 race levy for cup races included. And no extra charges for non-licensed racers.
- Volunteers much appreciated. Contact me at gsewell99@55mts.net (remove the digits)
