FOG Riders Can Race For Free

Recognizing the desire to create as many opportunities as possible for members and given that there will be no regular FOG ride from the Legion on Saturday August 29, FOG riders can take part in the FOG Aug 29th time trials for free (a short group ride will follow after).
- Non-licenced riders save about $45 in race entry and insurance fees. They must race in a FOG jersey and they must pre-register by Tuesday August 25th 5:00 p.m. They have a choice of one or two laps.
- Licenced riders who race for FOG will be credited the $20 race entry as part of the race subsidization program. They must race in their FOG jersey and must pre-register by Tuesday August 25th 5:00 p.m.

We have made special arrangements with BHP to hold the race and must be finished racing by 10:00 a.m. In order to allow for an early and efficient start we must compile our start list ahead of race day and have a firm idea of who will be present, hence the need for early registration.
Note: you are registering for the race with a deferred payment plan. If you take part under the conditions set above, you will be credited an amount equal to the race fees. If you register, but do not take part you will be responsible for the entry fee ($20). We had 60 racers at our last ITT. Lets surpass that and create an even greater FOG presence!


Volunteering and racing are equally important. If you'd rather volunteer, for the first 8 people that email Gary Edwards committing to volunteering we will credit them a similar amount towards the purchase of FOG clothing.


Instructions for registering (FOG members who are racing for FOG):

Go to the Race Bible post here Make sure to read the race bible. It provides more detail on what to expect. Print the race registration form and race waiver (linked in the post on the blog). Both must completed. On the registration form choose either All-Comer's Race if non-licenced or Provincial ITT if licenced. Clearly write FOG at the top. Drop off completed forms at Unicity Eye Clinic or fax to 953-5569 or mail to Unicity Eye Clinic. You do not need to include the entry fee if you register under this program. Registrations and waivers must be received by Tuesday, Aug 25, 5:00 p.m.
