Saturday Ride
Back to reality. Don't put the booties away yet. After some gloriously warm temperatures the high for Saturday is only 10C 8C . A warm long sleeve jersey and one of the new FOG vests would seem to be ideal or perhaps a light breathable jacket.

Il Giro
The Giro starts Saturday with a team time trial. Stage 2 ends in Genova (Genoa to us Anglos), birthplace of Christopher Columbus. I visited Genova in 2013.

Tour of California
Although no where near as prestigious as the Giro, the Tour of California showcases some great racing. It starts Sunday and this years parcours offers up some unbelievalbe climbs.
