Italian Craziness
A couple of videos that will have you shaking your head for completely different reasons.
First the good. For some of us flatlanders the more challenging part of the mountains is not the climb, but the descent. In 1986 Giuliano Calore rode the iconic Stelvio downhill without brakes and without ever touching the handlebars. Can't be that difficult than can it :)
The not so good. Stage 2 was marred by some bad crashes. Here's footage of recreational rider ducking under the tape onto the course just as the peloton arrives at 40-50 kph. Well you know what's going to happen...
